I spent the weekend wrapping up some old projects before I dive into something new. I also made my very first design board this weekend out of 2 insulation boards and 3 yards of 100 inch batting. Its a bit simple looking but very effective. Perhaps when we finish our basement I can hang them on the wall with a nice frame.
I managed to wrap up this star quilt first. This quilt would make a great quick quilt for new babies or little ones. It comes together in a day or less depending on your sewing skills and looks beautiful.
The second one was sewing up blocks from the first quilt along I ever completed. It was not one of my finest sewing jobs since I really learned as I go but has a great stash of color.
I have one more quilt top in my stash to be completed but I ran out of batting. Its a design my sister in law asked for and the first in a set of four.
